Gas Scottie

Gas Scottie belongs in the modern American hybrid line and clearly shows influences from the Biscotti and Cookies corners. The strain leans towards indica, although enough hybrid character remains to prevent it from being immediately labeled heavy. The buds are compact and sturdily built, with a dark green color and purple hues in some spots. Running through this are orange hairs that stand out beautifully against the dark background. A thick layer of trichomes makes the whole thing sticky as soon as you break open a bud.

The name says enough about the scent. As soon as the jar is opened, a sharp, fuel-like aroma is released, with something sweet underneath reminiscent of cookie dough and vanilla. Grinding brings out a spicy, peppery side, followed by a hint of citrus. All of this returns in the taste: first creamy and sweet, then a distinct gas flavor with a peppery finish. Caryophyllene, limonene, and myrcene are the terpenes that define this profile. The effect usually begins in the head, with a clear and cheerful feeling that comes on quite quickly. It then slowly descends to the body, where it transitions into a heavy, relaxed calm. Because of this progression, Gas Scottie is better suited to the end of the day than to a busy morning. Experienced users know how to handle this well, but those less accustomed to it should start slowly. The effects generally last a long time.
